Difficult questions (L-3306)

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِىَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ 28  قُلْ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ 29  قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَن يَأْتِيكُم بِمَآءٍ مَّعِينٍۭ 30

28.  Qul  ‘ara-'aytum  ‘in  ‘ahlaka-niyAllaahu  wa  mam-ma-'iya  ‘aw rahimanaa,  famany-yujiirul-kaafiriina  min  'azaabin  ‘aliim. 29.  Qul  Huwar-Rahmaanu  ‘aa-mannaa  bihii  wa  'alay-hi  tawakkalnaa.  Fasata'-lamuuna  man  huwa  fii zalaalim-mubiin. 30.  Qul  ‘ara-'aytum  ‘in  ‘asbaha  maaa-'ukum  gawran-  famany-ya'-tiikum-  bi-maaa-'im-ma-'iin. (Section 2/2)

28. Say (O Muhammad): Have you thought: Whether Allah causes me (Muhammad) and those with me to perish or has mercy on us, still, who will protect the disbelievers from a painful doom? 29. Say: He is the Beneficent. In Him we believe and in Him we put our trust. And you will soon know who it is that is in error manifest. 30. Say: Have you thought: If (all) your water were to disappear into the earth, who then could bring you gushing water?

The people of Makkah, who denied from embracing Islam, were in very upsetting condition. They used to imprecate the Muslims and were desirous to destroy them without any delay. Their thoughts were contrary to the human nature. It was the reason that they did not want to let the Muslims do their work, so they began to envy and trouble. It is being commanded concerning them: Say O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) to them: What will be your loss in our life and your benefit in our death? Our Lord knows that what will happen upon us, but due to your wicked deeds; you cannot be saved in any form from the painful doom on the Day of Resurrection.

It is commanded: There will be no one who may save you from the severe torment of Allaah Almighty. Not only you will be punished in this world, but you will be in the worst condition in the Hereafter. We have believed in The Beneficent, and upon His Mercy we have relied. You will come to know very soon that who is in clear error. Have you considered: If your water was to become sunken into the earth, then who could bring you flowing water? If you ask from us, we shall say clearly: Allaah Almighty will fulfill our all requirements, Who is The Lord of the Worlds.
