Wealth is not for depositing (L-3268)
|
وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَٰكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْتَنِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ 10 وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهَا وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ 11 |

10. Wa ‘anfiquu mimmaa razaqNaakum-min qabli ‘any-ya'-tiya ‘ahadakumul-Mawtu fa-yaquula Rabbi law- laaa ‘akh-khartaniii ‘ilaaa ‘ajalin- qariibin, fa-‘assaddaqa wa ‘akum-minas-Saalihiin. 11. Wa
lany-yu-'akh-khirAllaahu
nafsan ‘izaa jaaa-'a
‘ajaluhaa. Wallaahu Khabiirum- bimaa ta'-maluun. (Section
2/14) |

10. And
spend of that wherewith We have provided you before death comes unto one of
you and he says: My Lord! If only you would reprieve me for a little while,
then I would give alms and be among the righteous. 11. But
Allah reprieves no soul when its term comes, and Allah is Informed of what you
do. |
The Muslims are being instructed: Don’t fill your treasures with wealth. Spend from it some wealth for the cause of Allaah Almighty and on good works. Behold! You have an opportunity to spend in good works until you go to death. After death you will have no chance, instead of it you will grieve and regret. Neither your wealth will be useful for you and nor your children will be able to help you. At death’s door; the mankind will say: Would that I had lived for some more days and I would have been successful. He will say also: My Lord, Let me live for some more days, so that I may give charity and be among the righteous.
It is commanded: O ignorant mankind, listen to
it carefully! When the death approaches anyone of you, then the life of this
world can never be extended. If you did not do something good for yourselves
before coming of the death, then it is the end of your earning for the next
life. Do before time what you can do. Bear in mind! Allaah Almighty is
Aware of your entire works.
