How was he in the world? (L-3324)
|
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 33 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ 34 فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌ 35 وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ 36 لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ 37 (ع) فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ 38 وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ 39 إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ 40 وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ 41a

33. ‘Innahuu kaana laa yu'-minu Billaahil-'Aziim. 34. Wa laa yahuzzu 'alaa ta-'aamil-miskiin. 35. Falaysa lahul-Yawma haa-hunaa hamiim. 36. Wa laa ta-'aamun ‘illaa min gisliin. 37. Laa ya'-kuluhuuu ‘illal-khaati-'uun. (Section 1/5) 38. Falaaa ‘uqsimu bimaa tub-siruun. 39. Wa maa laa tubsiruun. 40. ‘Innahuu la-qawlu Rasuulin Kariim. 41a. Wa
maa huwa bi-qawli
shaa-'ir. |

33. Lo!
He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous, 34. And
urged not on the feeding of the wretched. 35. Therefor
has he no lover here this day, 36. Nor
any food save filth 37. Which
none but sinners eat. 38. But
nay! I swear by all that you see 39. And
all that you see not 40. That
it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 41a. It
is not poet's speech - |
It is commanded: Today (the Day of Resurrection), this hellish weeps on his misfortune. He did not think in his worldly life when the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) caused him to understand that he must believe in Allaah Almighty and help the needy, but neither he believed in Allaah Almighty and nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor, so that others also would have supported the hungry by looking him.
When in the world he did neither believe in Allaah Almighty and nor helped any helpless, then Today there is not for him any devoted friend. If he had believed in Allaah Almighty, He would have been Merciful on him. If he had supported the poor in the world, he would have been supported with good foods. Now there is nothing for his food and drinking except from the discharge of the wounds; which no one will like to eat but the sinners.
So I swear by what you see and what you do not
see that indeed, this Qur`an is being recited before you by a noble
Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). And it is not the word of any poet.
