Certainty of the Hour’s arrival (L-3305)

قُلْ هُوَ ٱلَّذِى ذَرَأَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ 24  وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ 25  قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْعِلْمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 26  فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيٓـَٔتْ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَدَّعُونَ 27

24.  Qul  Huwal-lazii  Zara-‘akum  fil-‘arzi  wa  ‘ilayhi  tuhsharuun. 25.  Wa  yaquuluuna  mataa  haazal-wa'-du  ‘in- kuntum  saadiqiin. 26.  Qul  ‘innamal-'ilmu  'indAllaah.  Wa  ‘innamaaa  ‘ana  Naziirum- mubiin. 27.  Falaammaa  ra-‘awhu  zul-fatan  siii-'at  wujuuhul-laziina  kafaruu  wa  qiila  haazal-lazii  kuntum-  bihii  tadda-'uun.

24. Say: He it is Who multiplies you in the earth, and unto Whom you will be gathered. 25. And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful? 26. Say: The knowledge is with Allah only, and I am but a plain warner; 27. But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which you used to call.

It is commanded: Allaah is Almighty Who created you and then multiplied throughout the earth. Then you will be gathered to Him.

After that it is commanded: They have doubt in coming of the Day of Resurrection and say: Your statement concerning coming of the Day of Reckoning is wrong. Tell us if you are true that when will this promise be fulfilled? Say to them! The knowledge is with Allaah only. I am only a plain Warner.

However it is true that when they will see the Signs of the Last Day, they will believe that it is near to approach, then the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed and grievous. It will be said at that Time, "This is that for which you used to call”.
