God's command continues everywhere (L-3275)

) مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُۥ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ 11  وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ 12  ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ 13  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْ 14a

11.  Maaa  ‘asaaba  mim-musiibatin  ‘illaa  bi-‘izNillaah.  Wa  many-yu'-mim- Billaahi  yahdi  qalbah.  Wallaahu  bikulli  shay-'in  ‘Aliim. 12.  Wa  ‘atii-'Ullaaha  wa  ‘atii-'ur-Rasuuul.  Fa-‘in  tawallay-tum  fa-‘innamaa  'alaa  RasuuliNal-Balaagul-mubiin. 13.  ‘Allaahu  Laaa  ‘ilaaha  ‘illaa  Huu.  Wa  'alAllaahi  fal-yata-wakkalil- Mu'-minuun. 14a.  Yaaa-‘ayyuhallaziina  ‘aamanuuu  ‘inna  min  ‘azwaaji-kum  wa  ‘awlaadikum  'aduw-wal-lakum  fahzaruuhum.

11. No calamity befalls save by Allah's leave. And whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart. And Allah is Knower of all things. 12. Obey Allah and obey His messenger; but if you turn away, then the duty of Our messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. 13. Allah! There is no God save Him. In Allah, therefore, let believers put their trust. 14a. O you who believe! Lo! Among your wives and your children there are enemies for you, therefor beware of them.

During those days, the Muslims were entangled in severe calamities. Refractory people of Makkah had compelled them to leave their native Township. In these verses, they are being consoled: No disaster strikes except by the permission of Allaah Almighty. He is the Wise Who sends any affliction and He is Aware of its advisability. Those people who believe in Allaah - He guides their hearts and they bear the difficulties with patience. He knows that what is better at which time. However, you must obey Allaah and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). If you turned away – then you would be from the losers instead of Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). Upon Our Messenger is only the duty of clear notification. You are responsible of yourselves, whether you believe or disbelieve. Remember! There is no Deity except Allaah. The believers must rely upon Him. O you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you who prevent you from acting upon His Commandments, so you must beware of them.
