Preaching of Noah (L-3335)

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 1  قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 2  أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ 3  يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ 4

1.  ‘Innaaa  ‘arsalNaa  Nuuhan  ‘ilaa  Qawmihii  ‘an  ‘anzir  Qawmaka  min  qabli  ‘any-ya’-tiyahum  'Azaabun  ‘aliim. 2.  Qaala  yaa-Qawmi  ‘innii  lakum  Naziirum-mubiin. 3.  ‘Ani'-budUllaaha  watta-quuHu  wa  ‘atii-'uun. 4.  Yagfir  lakum-min  zunuubi-kum  wa  yu-'akh-khirkum  ‘ilaaa  ‘Ajalim-Musammaa. ‘Inna  ‘AjalAllaahi  ‘izaa  jaaa-'a  laa  yu-'akhkhar.  Law  kuntum  ta'-lamuun.

1. Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn your people ere the painful doom come unto them. 2. He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you 3. (Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me, 4. That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! The term of Allah, when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew.

Adam (peace be upon him), who is the first mankind, was a Prophet. His children chose the way of living in the world according to his instructions. When population increased, his son Cain killed own Brother Abel. It was the first sin which was committed by the mankind. After that the population began to increase more and more, and the sins also increased. Allaah Almighty sent Prophets (peace be upon them) for their guidance from time to time, until then a time came; when the people forgot Allaah Almighty and considered that only their forefathers were everything. When their forefathers and elders departed from the world, they made their idols for keeping their remembrance fresh. After some days, they forgot their elders and considered that the idols were their Lords and Gods.

At that time Allaah Almighty sent Noah (peace be upon him), appointed him Own Messenger and commanded: Cause the people of your folk to understand and say: Be careful before coming of any disaster from Allaah Almighty. Noah (peace be upon him) explained before the people of his folk: Worship Allaah and fear His Doom. Do as I direct you. I hope that your sins will be forgiven and you will be saved from punishment in the world. In such condition, He will let - you and those who will come in the world after you - live till the prescribed time of your death, otherwise if the time of the completion of God’s Promises reached and you did remain careless, then there will no respite for you. And you will die in the state of disobedience. Would that you understand this matter!
