Severe threat (L-3291)
|
وَإِن تَظَٰهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَٰلِحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌ 4b عَسَىٰ رَبُّهُۥٓ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن يُبْدِلَهُۥٓ أَزْوَٰجًا خَيْرًا مِّنكُنَّ مُسْلِمَٰتٍ مُّؤْمِنَٰتٍ قَٰنِتَٰتٍ تَٰٓئِبَٰتٍ عَٰبِدَٰتٍ سَٰٓئِحَٰتٍ ثَيِّبَٰتٍ وَأَبْكَارًا 5 |

4b. Wa ‘in tazaaharaa 'alayhi fa-‘innAllaaha Huwa Mawlaahu wa Jibriilu wa Saalihul-Mu'-miniin. Wal-Malaaa-'ikatu ba'-da zaalika zahiir. 5. 'Asaa
Rabbuhuuu ‘in tal-laqakunna ‘any-yubd-ilahuuu ‘azwaajan
khayram-minkunna
Muslimaatim- Mu'-minaatin qaanitaatin
taaa-'ibaatin 'aabidaatin saaa-'ihaatin sayyibaa-tinw-wa ‘abkaaraa. |

4b. and if you aid one another against him
(Muhammad) then lo! Allah, even He, is his Protecting Friend, and Gabriel and
the righteous among the believers; and furthermore the angels are his
helpers. 5. It
may happen that his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your stead
wives better than you, submissive (to Allah), believing, pious, penitent,
devout, inclined to fasting, widows and maids. |
It is commanded: You both {Aishah and Hafsah (May Allaah be pleased with them)} made conspiracy mutually against the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). You can never harm him, because Allaah Almighty is his Protector, Gabriel and the angels (peace be upon them) and the righteous of the believers support him. You must not consider that you have any particular excellence and you are better than others, due to which you have become wives of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). If he divorced you all, Allaah Almighty will substitute for him wives better than you – who would be submitting to Allaah, believing, devoutly obedient, repentant and worshipping ones previously married and virgins.
