Lesson of tolerance (L-3276)
|
وَإِن تَعْفُوا۟ وَتَصْفَحُوا۟ وَتَغْفِرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 14b إِنَّمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ 15 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ خَيْرًا لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ 16 |
|
14b. Wa ‘in ta'-fuu wa tasfa-huu wa tag-firuu fa-‘innAllaaha Gafuurur- Rahiim. 15. ‘Innamaa ‘amwaalukum wa ‘awlaadukum fitnah. Wallaahu 'indaHuuu ‘Ajrun 'aziim. 16. FattaqUllaaha masta-ta'-tum wasma-'uu
wa atii-'uu wa
‘anfiquu
khay-ral-li-‘anfusi-kum.
Wa many-yuuqa shuh-ha
nafsihii fa-‘ulaaa-'ika humul-Muflihuun. |

14b. And if you efface and overlook and forgive,
then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 15. Your
wealth and your children are only a temptation, whereas Allah! With Him is an
immense reward. 16. So
keep your duty to Allah as best you can, and listen, and obey, and spend;
that is better for your souls. And whoso is saved from his own greed, such
are the successful. |
Some are such wives and children, due to whom the Man is harmed religiously or worldly. If it happens at any time, the man feels grief and is enraged on that wife or child; by whom he was harmed. Then he desires to punish such person severely.
At such occasion, it has been commanded in this verse: If you use common sense and patience, pardon
them, overlook and forgive their mistakes, its consequence will be better. It
will be result of such generosity that Allaah Almighty will forgive your
sins. He is Forgiving and Merciful. If the man
gets any loss due to his wife or children, there is any error of himself too if
he think. So being enraged on them only cannot be correct. Actual matter is it
that your wealth and your children are but a trial. You must be careful when
you behave with them. Abiding by the Commands of Allaah is cause of a
reward and He has with Him a great reward. Therefore, you must fear Allaah
as much as you are able, listen to Him and obey His Commandment. Sometime the
man becomes stingy with the members of his family and is excited. He does not
spend as he has to spend. Those who are not greedy but spend in the way of Allaah,
it is better for themselves. Whoever is protected from the stinginess of his
soul - it is those who will be the successful.
